Wickermoore House for the Criminally Insane is strange, even by asylum standards.
It is a place where the broken, the unloved, and the deranged are gathered, and kept isolated from the world without. Once it was an elegant mansion, located on a remote stretch of the Oregon Coast; now it is prison, binding hundreds of patients, and perhaps something more.
Enter Stephen Foster, a young clinical psychologist, and the newest addition to the Wickermoore staff. Foster is tasked with helping the patients, but the more he finds out about his new home, the more he realizes he may need help himself. Within Wickermoore’s walls, insanity spreads like a disease, and shadows creep of their own accord.
Something sinister lies at the heart of Wickermoore House. And it is hungry.
